Share your achievement/success story in detail. The modules in the Bachelor degree of Sport Management gave me the tools I needed to reach tremendous heights in Virgin Active Health Club. I become the most improved exercise manager at the company and earned a secondment position as a Fitness Manager. My experience at the company and the Personal Training Diploma that I am currently completing, helped me to start my own company and to become a qualified Fitness Instructor and Athletic Nutritionist.
Tell us more about your journey leading up to this moment. Sport has always been part of my life, it started in primary school where I played tennis and soccer. In high school I become a CrossFit and boot camp coach. I took a gap year after my Matrix and then applied for the Bachelor degree in Sport management at NUST, where I started to pursue my dream in the sport industry. Towards the end of my first year I managed to get a job at Virgin Active Health Club, where I put what I learnt into practice for the 9 months that I was employed. I left the company half way through my second year to start my own fitness business called Fittrio that specializes in fitness, nutrition and life coaching. Running my own business makes me happy, as I get to help people achieve their goals and dreams.
What does this achievement mean to you and how will you use it to motivate others? This achievement means more than I can put in words. I am able to change lives by doing what I love. I will strongly encourage people I meet to take the risk by following their dreams and to invest in themselves as much as they can. Their knowledge and talent is something no one can take away from them. My journey has helped a lot of people in many ways and I want to continue doing that.
What are your plans for the future? My plans are to provide the best service and products that will encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle. Expanding the company and branching into many different categories to cater for people’s needs.
